Biographies of Becket's Leadership Team:

Jeff Caron, Executive Director, Mount Prospect Academy

Jeff Caron leads Mount Prospect Academy as Executive Director with over 18 years dedication to Becket Family of Services beginning as residential staff at the Becket Academy in 1990.  Residential Director, Principal, Head of Schools, and Admissions Director are all leadership roles that Jeff has achieved throughout his tenure at Becket.  Jeff’s experience provides him with a wealth of leadership skills placing him at the head of Mount Prospect Academy today.

Mr. Caron earned his Masters of Education in School Guidance from Plymouth State College in 1991.  Jeff continued his professional development interests and received his Masters of Education for School Principal K-12 and Certificate for Advanced Graduate Studies, Curriculum Development, and Academic Leadership in 2001.  Jeff resides in Plymouth, New Hampshire with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Richard and Rebecca. 

Jeff has initiated major changes at MPA, such as leading reformation of the residential building and integrating Community Clinicians in the residential dorms.  Jeff strongly believes in "using a hands-on approach with administration.  We need managers in the dorms to guide our students and mold our faculty to be on the cutting edge of staff development."

 

Steve Tuck, Executive Director, Becket Family of Services of Maine

Steve Tuck joined the Becket family over 15 years ago as Youth Counselor and advanced to the role of Executive Director, specializing in sexual behavior modification programming with great success.  Graduating from Eastern University with a BS in Psychology, Steve went on to earn his Masters in Counseling Psychology at Goddard College in 1991.  Before joining the Becket team, Steve worked as a child abuse investigator for DSS, as a case manager, and in the Greenfield, MA DA's office prosecuting offenders. 

Steve has brought success to Becket by doubling the size of its sexual offender program before heading up similar models in Maine.  The Becket Family of Services of Maine has grown to include over 9 programs, all under the guidance of Steve Tuck, where he has also developed 3 special purpose day school programs. 

Currently, Steve lives in the Brunswick area with his wife, Melissa and step-son, Daniel where he enjoys the outdoor activities the great state of Maine has to offer.  Steve’s successful leadership skills and goals will move Becket forward and provide successful services to troubled teens in today’s society.
